About the Red Barn

The Amherst Red Barn Music School is a collaboration of eighteen music teachers at our studios at 409 Main St (by the Amtrak station) in Amherst. If you have the desire to play music, we can give you the skills, and have fun while we are doing it. We only do fun.

Kevin Collins, Founder/Director

kevin_building_20001In 2000, the Red Barn started as a bare, walk-in basement in the old Dickinson grain building. With support from the community, I was able to build-in studios and a classroom, a home for music in Amherst.

In the last fifteen years, hundreds of people have come through the Red Barn and found happiness and success. Thank you to everyone — students, teachers and families — for being part of the Red Barn family.
