Dahlia Riddington began piano lessons with her grandmother when she was just five years old, beginning a lifelong connection with music that has grown alongside her interests in writing, education, and the arts.
A recent Smith College graduate, Dahlia has continued to make music an important part of her life, including working as a piano accompanist for the Smith College Dance Department and participating in musical programs through The Walden School. Her experience also includes work in audio mastering and behind-the-scenes support for musicians and performers.
Dahlia brings extensive experience working with children and young people, having taught and supervised students in elementary school programs, summer programs, and music settings. Her teaching style is warm, patient, creative, and encouraging, with an emphasis on helping students feel comfortable, curious, and excited about learning.
At the Red Barn, Dahlia enjoys helping students develop their musical skills while discovering the fun and satisfaction of making music.
