Lessons can start at any time
We suggest that you first take a lesson and see if it is what you wanted.
Then commit to completing a month and then to finishing the semester.
Lessons are paid by the semester. An installment plan is available
for an additional $25. This is to help you succeed. Adult students may book
a block of lessons, six minimum.
Rates
Half-hour lessons cost from $22 to $36, and forty-five minute and hour lessons
are available. Teachers set their own rates and you may pay them directly.
There is a $20 registration fee per semester that covers stuff that you use--
the copier, recitals, and keeping a phone in the waiting room for your use.
Calendar
We teach a seventeen week semester with two weeks of make-ups.
After school music lessons run along with the Amherst Schools calendar.
However, lessons are held on most state and administrative holidays.
We are closed for Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Memorial Day
and week-long breaks. Please check the individual calendar for your lesson
day to get exact dates.
Cancellations
Lessons will be made up with 24 hours notice and for illness, snow days
and family emergency. Lessons cancelled at the last minute
by choice (after school game, extended vacation, tests, shopping, parties,
I haven't practiced, I forgot, etc.) will not be made up. Please read our Student
Guidelines for a complete description.
Policies and Procedures
Fairness is the main thing. Please read our payment polices and procedures.
